An electronic musical system is a device that generates sounds via electrical circuitry. Electronic musical systems are now often used in a variety of musical genres. It is regarded as a form of mental and spiritual treatment that promotes relaxation. On July 3, 2013, the Bureau of Indian Standards considered that all models in the classification of Electronic Musical System with Input Power 200W and above must be registered with BIS before entering the Indian Consumer Market. An electronic musical system should meet the Indian Standards IS 616:2017. No musical system can be introduced into the Indian market without BIS Registration.
